we all create our own beliefs we then follow religiously
when the family gets big enough it forms a religious belief ,that becomes dogma ,has its specialists ,its family secrets its adherants and deciples and its rebutters and deniers
yes we can and do foerm our own religion
we follow its path religiously
you accomplish it by following your beliefs, then die ,then let others explain why you hadt o die so they could not die ,just like you didnt ,there are many religions ,why would you need a new one
first find a belief live that well ,knowing is fine but knowing everything then what
will you do any good with it
belief what your father and mother belief ,it keeps the family together ,you all go to the same place ,then where that same place is isnt inportant

Sure you could. There are however a few things you need to do first if you are planning a christian style religion.
You will need to be a bigot, you will need to have a burning desire to control others through fear (read fire & brimstone etc), you will need to believe in miracles, you will need some mechanism to extract money from others under false pretentions, oh and one of the really important ones is you will have to be a hypocrit.
Try these few first and when you get them right the door to all sorts of other evils will open for you.
Good luck and I hope you come up with a catchy name.

Yes, I guess you could. It may limit you and your followers to your world though; but to reach God, every known effort and attempts by men have failed, so God tried to help out by sending Jesus to be the way to Him. Now religion has out-lived it's time and its causing many problems for our world, why would anyone be thinking of creating another one?

I did. It's called "Psychedelic Panditism". We worship a panda made from yogurt that only people on acid can see. Our chosen Prophet is the thrice-blessed Dr. Timothy Leary. I'm working on a webpage to explain in more details the "Holy Scriptures Of the Psychedelic Panda" and what it means to walk the mystical Path of the Panda. May His Almighty Yogurtiness smile upon you.

It's called occults. (old enough to remember David Koresh, Charles Manson, Jim Jones?) Anybody can create a following of a false teaching and somebody will likely be deceived even if it's completely non-sensible. You can rely on the Holy Bible for all the truths you need to know about how to be saved from your sins, live in a way pleasing to God and how to get to heaven.

people start their own religion all the time, example the heaven's gate group, that guy started a religion based on the fact that a comet would come to earths orbit and god would be behind in.
all you'd really have to do to start a religion is be a person that others listen to and will follow.

Ask L Ron Hubbard. He created Scientology on a bet. Won it, too.

Lots of people follow their own beliefs but I wouldnt really consider that a religion.
