We are losing many great men and women over there in Iraq, and I know quite a few of them too, I served in the Army from 99 till 2004... But who I really think is "winning" is our own president and ol' dick cheney. Considering that Cheney was the "head Honcho" for Halliburton, and now that company is pumping all the oil out of Iraq...doesn't this sound suspicious to anyone else? Isn't the bush and cheney family rich enough off the oil here in the states?...NO WE HAD TO GO "FIND WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION" which we still haven't found, and when will they admit to it!!! They just wanted more money from the oil!!! They don't care about my friends putting their lives on the line over there in that hell...I just hope they all get home safe to there wives and new born babies.

In my opinion, the only ones winning anything in the war in Iraq are the merchants that supply the arms and logistical supplies to both sides in that conflict. The combatants aren't getting anywhere except to do time in a bad situation.

Remember, this is my opinion.

It's more like a gang war than a military war now. There are not specific objectives like land to be captured or buildings to blow up. It's just a whole bunch of different militant groups attacking everyone they don't like. Even within Shiites, there are some groups who attack Americans, some who attack other Shiites, and some who attack Sunnis. It's not Americans vs. Iraqis or Shiites vs. Sunnis, so you really can't determine a winner. The winner will be the group that decides the country's future.

Not us.
Maybe Iran and Syria are helping to mercilessly kick our butt.
We ARE losing, no doubt about it. Too bad Bush is in denial.
