How is the city? Is it very polluted? I am thinking of going to Azusa Pacific University. All comments are welcome!

The city of Azusa overall is a really nice city but not a wealthy one by any means. Most of the people you will meet regardless of income are pretty nice. As someone mentioned Azusa as with most lower income cities does struggle with gangs, poverty and crime but if you are going to APU it is not something you will really ever notice. The city of course is very polluted: It is in LA county and is in a valley with hills 5 minutes north of it. But if you are planning on going to school anywhere in or near LA it will have bad pollution but don't let that affect your decision at all if possible. I have had a great 2 1/2 years here so far and have enjoyed it immensely and loved the challenges i have faced. It is a place where if you want to at all you will most likely have tremendous growth as a person and as a Christian. Finally, make sure you do some extracuricular activities whether it be intermural, music, varsity sports, clubs, etc. and the allow yourself if you come to really get into the APU vs. Bioal rivalry.

Azusa is situated of I-210 approx 20 miles east of Pasadena. Most of the city itself consists of a comparable amount of people living in poverty, and there are some gangs- but the area immediately around APU (mainly Citrus/ Alosta- also referred to as Rte 66) is relatively safe. Glenda & Covina are neighboring cities that may be a better place to stay

Azusa is about 25 miles east of Los Angeles in the foothills of the mountains. it's a relative clean and safe community, but like most of the cities along the foothills east of L A it does get "kinda" hot and smoggy in the summer. I think you'll like it . As the "city fathers" say, they have every thing from A to Z in the USA (how it got it's name)

APU is beautiful, you will love it!!!!!!
The people there are really nice.
the campus is gorgeous.
Azusa is pretty. Citrus college is right next to it. you can meet a lot of people there too.
