mosquito bites, then regular sized bites, then larger lumps, and has spread to her neck, chest, upper arms, top of her head and stomach...very very itchy. Cold water is helping somewhat. She did eat Mahi Mahi earlier, that she has never had an allergic reaction from, and she also had a terrible headache about an hour before her outbreak for which she took 4 aspirin--again she has never had any reaction to aspirin, She is 25 and in generall very good health. PLEASE help with any known home remedies. Thank you.

Benadryl for the itch, but if it's getting worse maybe the ER? It sounds like she may be having some kind of allergic reaction. I get hives all the time and they usually start small and get bigger as you itch them.

This sounds like a very serious problem. I would take her to ER immediately. This could be several differnt things. It could be a severe case of Chicken Pox (as you get older, chicken pox become more dangerous) It could also be hives or mumps. However, it is possible to develop allergies/allergic reactions to medicines or food. It could be the Aspirin or it could have been the Mahi Mahi. The food could have been bad or raw which led to some sort of severe food poisoning. Another thing is recently (i dont know exactly where you are from) around Kentucky/Ohio/Indiana, there was some Tylenol that went out onto the market that was recalled and taken off shelves as soon as they could. They had put something in the Tylenol that should not have been there. That is a very likely possiblility depending on when you got the Aspirin.
I really hope that she is okay and that you find out the cause!
Hope this helped!

You can develop an allergic reaction to any thing. It doesn't have to be something that she was allergic to before. It could be a reaction between the aspirin and what she ate, but most generally if it STARTED on her head, and face it was caused by something that was taken by mouth. Some benadryl should help, or some claritin./ loratadine, It is very good at stopping allergic reactions. Taken daily it gives relief from seasonal allergies as well. A cool bath, should give some relief, and be sure to watch for any signs showing difficulty with breathing or an increased heart rate. Some allergic reactions can cause swelling in the throat, and mouth, making it hard to breathe. She will need to be seen asap if this happens , call 911.

Do you have any hemp moisturiser? It helps me HEAPS when I get an allergic reaction - which sounds exactly like what is happening to your daughter. Also, give her some antihistamines. By the way, it could still be a reaction to asprin - you can get sensitised over time. I also suggest you look at what was in the Mahi Mahi, and take note. Get an allergy test done ASAP.

It sounds as if she has had a dangerous allergic reaction to something she did eat. Getting a terrible headache, shortness of breath and feeling faint is a sign to go to the hospital as this could become life threatening. Call the emergency room at the nearest hospital for advice from a nurse. Tell the nurse what has happened, and she will tell you what to do as she is qualified to give you the medical information or call a pharmacist. Do this at once. Unless a medical doctor, it is against the law to practice medicine or prescribed any medication.

There's a chance that it's hives from an allergic reaction. Get some antihistamine as soon as possible - Claritin and generic versions of it work best for me. If she finds she has trouble breathing at any point in time call 911 and drive to a hospital emergency room IMMEDIATELY. Trouble breathing and a tight throat can be signs of anaphylactic shock, which is life threatening and requires an epi-pen.

This sounds like hives...she is having an allergic reaction to something....you need to get her an antihistamine....but watch her carefully for breathing problems....if she were my daughter and has never experienced this before I would strongly suggest the emergency room tonight. They can give her an injection to calm it all down. She also may need to have some allergy testing done in the very near future to determine the culprit.

Benedryl as a anahistamine - then go to the doctors....the 4 asprin aren't going to do anything....need to go to the doctors though in case the allergies are life threatening. Usually when something is itchy, it's because it's swelling up. if her throat is itching...means her thoat is swelling....need to go to the doctors or at least call them rather than listening to yahoo answers

If ur not heading to the ER or calling the hospital, go to www.webmd.com n use the symptom checker. As others hv said..if she starts to hv trouble breathing or feels a tightening of the throat, drop everything n go to the ER.

Good luck!

Benedryl should help if its a mild allergic reaction. If her symptoms get worse, take her to the ER.
