4 months ago my girlfreind was forced to move to south africa with her parents we have been dating for 6 years and were on the verge of getting married since then I have not heard a thing just have recieved one email from her dad telling me to forget about her and move on and since then I have been getting worst everyday I have recently started to drink my problems away but thats not the kind of person I want to be so how to overcome this

If her dad still has that much control over her, she is not the girl for you. She could have called/emailed/mailed/smoke signalled, whatever, and she didn't. It seems like she might be in agreement with her dad, or even getting him to break up with you for her.

Forget about marriage, forget about the relationship, obviously you were in for the long haul, but she was not.

Stop drinking, and start living.

I don't understand how the girl could be forced to move; but maybe if she really loves you maybe someday she'll call, e-mail or show up one day! For now you need to get out with friends and stop drinking!!!

Go to africa and look for her!!! I hope you two find eachother! Goodluck... if you dont find her i suggest you see a psychologist because this is sad and may affect you later.
