There are many religions and gods. But which one is true? Muslim has Allah which is the god who created life. Catholic people have another one and its bible. Then what happens of Hinduism? They have soo many gods and semi ones. There are many others. what about phylosophies? Bouddhism says that there should be no life on earth. One says my god exists...ok but where does he comes from and who created god? Another would say non believers go to hell and believers go to heaven. those who do not believe in god but help alot of people such as people who save diseased people or feed the poors? is he still going to hell? what about those of do believe into god but are gansters and kill people in wars?

I think most of the earth's religions are translations of the truth. I believe they are all interpretations of the same god - the life energy that powers this existence. Think about it - they all talk about love and kindness, they all point to a way home after death, and they all talk about how to communicate with 'home' to direct our journey.

From where I sit it looks like we are all beings of spirit come here to learn specific lessons of our own choosing. I think of god as an ocean of energy and my essence as glass of it. I believe that god does not judge us - god is the energy that facilitates our journey and if there is a creator I think he allows us to do as we please and when we are finished playing we will go home.

I think hell is nothing more than depression or the consequences of our negative actions. It is more self deprication, guilt, fear gnawing at us and crippling us - ultimately obscuring the way home if we allow ourselves to succumb to it. People who feel divinely protected don't fall victim to that as much - and we are all going home (those in hell will go when they notice that they can). I think the violence and handicaps are radically different existences that have their own lessons to teach - and some of us are brave enough to learn about it.

The bottom line is that when you are thinking about God and religion, you need to remember that religion is a man made tool and there are lots to choose from. Most of us know in our hearts the only rule we need is the golden rule (treat others as you hope to be treated) - and allah and jesus and moses and krishna and buddha would all agree.

Peace!

PS - the point is more to protect your right to believe as you want, which automatically protects the rights of others, under the Golden Rule. There are many paths to enlightenment - and if a particular religion doesn't think so, they can lead by the example of their wonderous life why their religion is best and attract followers that way, not by coercion or disrespecting the beliefs of another.

Don't forget the aztecs,mayans,egyptians etc

They all seem to have similar ideals to a certain extant. I think there is a lot of truth in all of them.

My problem with heaven is this, before Jesus who is a Jew they believed in sheol. Sheol is an afterlife but doesn't have two areas heaven and hell.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheol

Now if you look at the tiebetan book of the dead it is similar but emphasis on realms or stages which I think sheol is.

Other mentions of afterlife is in the bible of becoming one like god. As if you die and bring on complete understanding of all things. As solomon said wisdom is sorrow.

Now consider Jesus is to raise the dead to judge them when he returns. If you still must be judged how can you go to heaven or hell already?

The truth lays in there somewhere I am sure. What is right or worng and what is to come is hard to say.

So, who, other than believers in individual religions, says that one religion "has" to be right.

Personally, I believe that all religions have a kernel of truth. I don't believe in a single perfect religion that exists on earth. We're simply not perfect people, and as such, we're unable to understand perfection.

For all of the musings and rantings of the preachers, we're only human and none of us has unerring access to truth.

Firstly you say there are many gods whereas no one knows for sure and people adore many gods according to their own culture.
Catholic people adore one God but he has three aspects named as the Trinity (God the father, Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit). Buddhism does not say there should be no life on earth.
Only those who commit atrocities go to hell, but we are told it is not our place to pass judgement over others, only God can do that.

Although I'm not sure what you meant by your second question posted, let me answer this the best way I know how. There are so many religions out there that it seems so hard to find the "true" religion from all the others. Most would argue that all religions have some good to them, but is that simply enough to be acceptable to God? However Jehovah God sets the standards for worship; not us, in his word the Bible, but it's up to us to follow it. (James 1:27) It's either one or the other; true or false, so the following criteria should help make it easier to identify the true religion.

Ask yourself the following questions to find what is the true religion from the many that are out there.

1. On what is its teachings based on? Are they largely from God
or men? - 2 Timothy 3:16.
2. Consider whether it is making God's name known. - John 17:6
3. Is true faith in Jesus Christ being demonstrated? This involves
appreciation for Christ's sacrifice in our behalf and his position
as heavenly King. - John 3:36 and Psalms 2:6-8
4. Is it largely ritualistic, a formality, or is it a way of life? God
disapproves of formalism- Isaiah1:15-17. Rather true religion
upholds to God's standards instead of following popular trends.
5. Do it's members truly love another? This is a crucial
identifying mark of "true" Christians. Such love has no racial,
social or national boundaries.- John 15:35
6. Is it truly separate from the world? Jesus was no part of this
world why should we. We should be neutral in world affairs.
John 15:19
And lastly...
7. Are its members active witnesses concerning God's
kingdom actively proclaiming God's Kingdom as the only hope
for mankind.- Matthew 24:14

What religious group follows ALL of the following criteria? The following links might be of interest to you. There is where your answer(s) lie. I hope I was of help.

If you don't believe you go to hell cause God doesn't like you not believing in him.
In fact every false belief or unbelief is equal to a certain number of sins.
Baptists, on the other hand, are assured of going Heaven cause not only do they believe but they also did the special precedure and incantation for getting saved, and by doing so they got a special pass on Judgment Day. Therefore they are holier than Christians. Christians in general will still get to Heaven though but it won't have all the amenities.
But listen to this: People who do not believe in Jesus will go to Hell and they will burn forever. The torment will be everlasting. Plus they will have worms. In the Bible is says they will be in a place where "the worm dyeth not."
This should prompt you to seek a Baptist church and get saved.
To answer you last question, yes, everybody goes to Hell if they don't believe in Jesus, cause it says in the Bible Jesus is not amused when you don't believe. He is the greatest and he wants you to know it, otherwise you burn.

No Gods No religion . All gods are false as well as heaven and hell because death is final . Morality is a spiritual or mindfull responsiblity in the universal law of reason. We are judged here and only here so we shouldn't procrastinate, this life is it. It is said that what you think when you die is for eternity but I think when we are gone our past actions can infuence the memory or chain of generations to come for eternity .A reason for good will.

Jesus came for all mankind. It is up to each person to accept or reject. You can not be a gangster and kill people and expect to just say "gee sorry". God looks at the heart of man, not the words on our lips. God is not a fool and He is not mocked. The decision to follow Christ is from the heart not the lip service.

Catholics worship the same God as other Christians do, and we have the same Bible. The only difference in the Catholic Bible and the protestant Bible is that the Catholic Bible still has the 7 books that Martin Luther left out because he didn't like what they said.

God bless,
