I guess I feel a little guilty because I am a RN. He has 5 kids and I feel like sometimes they all run over me. They have treated me terrible in the past. He has to go to the hospital tommorrow and I decided I have done enough for him and his daughter will be taking him along with her 2 little kids. I am sure he will pay, pay, pay, pay her for whatever she does for him.
Should I feel guilty?

I don't think you should feel guilty at all. You have to learn to look out for yourself as well. I am sure your friend knows you are there if he needs you. You know you have did what you could for him, and that is enough! If you guys are close maybe you could tell him how you feel then maybe he would talk to his kids and this won't be an issue anymore.

I don't think you should feel guilty about it, as you know, a colonoscopy isn't a real big deal and it sounds like he's got quite the extended family. You shouldn't have to stress yourself out to the max. there is a fine line when it comes to being a good friend. And it sounds like you are a really good friend to this guy..... He'll be fine, a little stressed the the little ones go too, but he'll be fine and you can always call and check on him... Good Luck!
