My cousin lives near my BF and introduced us on the net since she and I can't drive and my drunk uncle smashed into BF's car. He's about 20 and I'm 17. We've been so busy this year that we haven't had time to actually meet each other. Next Monday we meet, and I've persuaded him to have sex with me, even though he's been saying to wait til I'm legal. I've fallen in love with him, and a piece of me wants him that way...but there's a feeling to not do it. It's not that I don't trust him, it's just that its the first time I'm meeting him and I want it to be special. Most of my relationships end cause I put out. But I really care about this guy and I think I really should wait now. Some people say that relationships don't last long w/o sex, and although I trust ours will be long I don't know the next time I'll see him so it feels important. The only thing is, how do I tell him that I don't wanna sleep with him? After a LOT of persuasion he got excited, so how do I break it to him?

Okay. Here's the deal. Tons of young woman confuse love with sex. Yes, if you love someone you have sex with them. But, if you have sex with someone does that mean your in love? No. There is nothing wrong with getting to know someone for a couple months (actually dating) before you decide to have sex. It should be discussed and mutually decided. If you can't talk about sex with your partner then, you are not mature enough to have sex. There is so much more to a relationship. As a young woman, you need to respect yourself and realize how sex impacts your relationship. You really shouldn't sleep with just anybody. You really should be picky! You don't want to be known as the "easy" girl. You want men to respect you so, respect yourself. Tell that boyfriend of yours, if he really likes you and wants to get to know you, he can do it without sex. See what happens. If he doesn't stick around? Your better off without him!

Relationships can last w/o sex. He will never respect you or want anything other than sex from you if you put out this soon. You've never met him, how can you possibly be in love with him? Guys never want easy girls. They may want to have sex with you but when it comes to claiming you in public it's a different story. I advise you to stop giving up your body so easily....

Just tell him that you have changed your mind and you don't want to have sex with him. If he gets upset then that's o.k. life goes on; guys like a challenge and you are not giving him much of a challenge.

You probably shouldn't have told him that without having your mind made up. But just tell him basically what you just told us... that you think it's special and you don't want to possibly ruin it by having sex the first time you meet. And it is possible for guys to love you without sex (I can't speak for him, though)...
