My boyfriend, whom I love very much is an alcoholic. I am very worried about his health. He has no desire to quit drinking beer. He recently quit liqour because it caused him such severe stomach pain the last time he consumed it that it scared him.
He was introduced to beer at the age of 7 years.
He's been drinking regularly for 21 years, he is 38 years old.
He drinks daily, anywhere from 4 24 oz. beers to a 12 pack, sometimes more.
He gets severe shakes if he attempts not to drink during the day, and will purchase alcohol when the shakes start.
I know a little about alcoholism. I know it's dangerous. I don't drink myself.
I've been with my boyfriend four and one half years, he's experienced severe night time sweating since I met him. It's getting alot worse.
It's hard to get him to go to a doctor for any sickness or injury, but not impossible. I worry about liver disease. On occassion his eyes are yellow, which he attributes to tiredness. Any help. Thank you for your time.

He's at that point - night sweats, stomach pains, digestive problems and terrible snoring.
His reason for drinking:
It relieves the stress of a hard day's work, and he likes the buzz.
Again, he has no desire to quit.
He's mostly a beer drinker,he's told me he used to drink alot of liqour. He only drank liqour occassionally since I've met him. The last time scared him.
I hope and pray he wants to give up beer before it's too late for him.
He will not ackowledge that beer has anything to do with his eyes sometimes being yellow.l keep trying to get him to see a doctor for a check up. I hope the doctor finds no damage, but if he does I hope it will convince my love to get help. My father died 4 yr's ago, he was an alcoholic. I would never want anyone to suffer as he did. He used the same excuses as my boyfriend.

I'm 34 and had most of the excessive sweating symptoms you list, I used to sweat like crazy almost all of the time and in all the wrong places. I just couldn't stand it anymore! I feel so lucky I have found this website:
https://tr.im/StopExcessiveSweating
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition in which a person sweats excessively and unpredictably. People with hyperhidrosis may sweat even when the temperature is cool or when they are at rest. Sweating helps the body stay cool. In most cases, it is perfectly natural. People sweat more in warm temperatures, when they exercise, or in response to situations that make them nervous, angry, embarrassed, or afraid.
Excessive sweating occurs without such triggers. https://tr.im/StopExcessiveSweating Persons with hyperhidrosis appear to have overactive sweat glands. The uncontrollable sweating can lead to significant discomfort, both physical and emotional. When excessive sweating affects the hands, feet, and armpits, it is called primary or focal hyperhidrosis. In most cases, no cause can be found. It seems to run in families.
If the sweating occurs as a result of another medical condition, it is called secondary hyperhidrosis. The sweating may be all over the body or it may be in one area.

What a relief! I haven't been sweating as much as I did for more than 3 months now. I have thrown all my antiperspirants straight into the trash. Who would have thought it was so simple to eliminate excessive sweating, all without prescription medications...https://tr.im/TreatmentExcessiveSweating

The night sweats and shakes could be caused by withdrawal. You said he recently quit liquor. It could also be caused by a variety of serious illnesses, he should see a doctor. Yellow eyes could be a sign of liver disease, so get him checked out. Good luck to you both.

Yellow eyes is a sign of Jaundice. That is very serious. Miss I would venture to guess he probably has seroisis of the Liver. Which basically means his liver is swiss cheese. That would account for the yellow eyes. It might, repeat might, explain the night sweats. Night sweats are also associated with certain forms of Cancer as well. Drinking that much beer might have started some form of cancer in him.
He needs to be under a doctors care and NOW,.

Good god, apart from the yellow eyes you could be describing my partner. He drinks about the same as yours and also suffers from night sweats. He's also scared himself by drinking vodka to the extent of putting himself in hospital. Sounds like we have a similar problem. :-|

I am not a doc but yellow in the eyes means jaundice which means liver is not working properly. I feel sad that he was introduced to the poison at age 7. Do your best to get him to a doctor and a rehab center. Good luck!
