Some guys think it's important, which is pretty funny since they won't hesitate to be the one to take your virginity.
Some guys just want to know how to deal with you sexually and might move a little slower if you're not experienced.
Some guys are virgins and are worried that if you're not a virgin, you'll think they aren't experienced enough for you.
The list is endless. Just say, yes, and ask them if they are still a virgin. You could even say yes then ask them why they want to know.
Don't worry about it and stay a virgin as long as you want to.

They are the "PIGS!" stay away! obviously that is the only thing they are thinking about. If a guy really cares about u or wants to get to know u then thats not something he's gonna ask right away until ur in a relationship for a while and ur geting closer. I was dating a guy 1 time and he had my friend ask me what kind of birth control I was on. I was still a virgin and thought what a loser! thats all he was worried about. So I dumped him and then his pride was hurt cuz he was popular and good-looking so he went and told every that he "did it" w/me! I was so hurt and mad! But I guess some guys sre such jerks that their pride can't take the rejection.

i'm a girl but i'm gonna answer this anyway lol. Some guys ask because they feel proud for taking a girls virginity others because the girl would be better in bed if she not. Others ask because they believe that sex should wait until marriage and some are just curious. If you get asked this by a guy just ask why he wants to know

A raw guava is always better than a ripe one. Many men tend to like the same Thing as i. But if this particular question is his first one then you better be away from him. This guy has no respect for womens. It will be good if you dump him first.
Some might ask because they might be one too. Birds of the same feathers flock together.

How very odd. Are you doing anything to pre-empt this? A lot of virgins I knew, back in high school as such, would be very proud of their sexual status, and broadcast this, thus prompting a question of that nature.
If not, then stare at these guys slowly, turn your back, and walk away. That is not flirting, that is trying to find out how much intimacy you will allow, and how soon.

Some guys really don't want to be responsible for being your first. It makes them very uncomfortable.
Others want an "experienced" woman, but I don't find that terribly . . . . nice.
It may matter to the guy, but it depends on what kind of guy he is.
A friend of mine recently lost her virginity. The guy she was with freaked out because he felt like he'd done something wrong. He just didn't want that kind of pressure, but she reassured him that it was OK because she choose him.

It could mean a number of things. A guy could sleep with 12 virgins so that he isn't at risk for STD's so he thinks that it is safe sex. Or they are morally bound to saving themselves and want a girl who thinks the same.

If this is the first thing a guy asks you then he is not interested in you as a person. Stay as far away from a person like this as possible because his favorite subject seems to be "Female Anatomy" and he's trying to find someone dumb enough to join him in his studies.
All guys are not like this.

because the men think if they can get ahold of one, who's to say if they can get one more, and if they are real selfish an all stuck on themselves why not them all. for virigins are fresh tight meat that feels better then the most experienced ones. an it's not just that, you got an open door to be trained to there likings where the experienced cannot. so if a man is interested only in virigins then he's a rotten player looking for trouble.

- If the answer is YES, they'll pursue you like a prize
- If the answer is NO, they figure they have a good chance of getting what they want.
Just tell them that's a private matter and none of their business. Then look them straight in the eye and don't say another word about it.
