In order to lose weight, you need to be expending more calories than you are taking in. Don't take this as an invitation to stop eating however; the best and healthiest solution is to focus on eating lots of fruit - which provides you with a great source of energy and few calories. Keep playing basketball and exercising regularly too. Adding in cardio activities (running and swimming are best for full-body weight loss) will accelerate the weight loss, and trips to your local gym wouldn't hurt.
Basically, your best bet is to exercise more, and eat less high-calorie foods. Good luck losing the weight.
