All of us are born one way or another. Esrael is my firstborn, meaning delivered from Egypt.
Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, in that He was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes from the Father.
Jesus is firstborn from the dead. He is the Resurrection. He has the keys to death & hell. So, also, when we confess Jesus Christ our Lord and believe in our hearts the Resurrection, we are saved. We are born of God. It is a spiritual birth.
Jesus said that to see the kingdom of God we must be born again, spiritual rebirth. When born spiritually, can pray to God 24/7 in spirit and truth. When the Holy Spirit directs our path, we are children of God.
So being born means being brought forth.
We are all children of God originally, but inherit the sin nature. When we purposely rebel against God somehow. Then we die Spiritually / become spiritually blind. Jesus said to see the Kingdom of God we must be born again...

Psalms 2:7 is a prophecy of Jesus Christ, who was and is the Only Begotten Son of God. Israel is considered the son of God through adoption by his -Jacob/Israel- faith in God's promises, the same as Christians are considered the children -sons/daughters- of God by adoption. Adam was the first son of God in that he was the first human being on Earth and came directly from the formation of God, there were no earthly parents for the first couple on Earth. Angels of God are also called the sons of God as well as the stars of God and simply stars or stars of Heaven. This is because they too were created by a direct act of God. Note that only Jesus Christ is called the true, Only Begotten Son of God because His birth was a miracle of the Holy Spirit on a virgin -Mary

Take them in order...
Adam is a son of God in that he was created by God in Genesis 2:7.
Every child who follows Adam is a son or daughter of God, since he was Adam's parent. That is a plain teaching of the Bible. We are all children of God. So when Genesis 6 speaks of the sons of God, it is correct.
Exodus 4:22 is speaking of the NATION of Israel (not a person). God considers Israel to be the first born of the nations, because they were the first nation to follow God. It can have a "first child" and a "first something else" at the same time. Same with the Ephriam refers, this refers to the tribe of Ephriam which decended from the first-born son of Joseph. Ephriam was the first born of Joseph's tribes.
Psalms 2:7 has David repeating what he heard God say, but Hebrew 1:5 tells us that God was to and about Jesus, not David, when He said those words. You are the one who mistakenly added the "to David" into the verse.
That brings up the question, who was Jesus unique? The Bible does not say he was the only son of God, it says he was the only "begotten" son of God. Adam, and all of mankind that follows, was created by God. He form Adam out of something else, and granted it the honor of sonship. Jesus was begotten. He was birthed directly out of God himself, and shares the nature, abilities and attributes of God.
Philippians 2:5-7 says that Jesus existed in equality with God BEFORE he became a human being. John 1:1-5 says that Jesus (called the Word - see John 1:14) was will God before the creation of the universe and it was through Jesus that everything was made. Colossians 1:15 says Jesus was the image of God, and the firstborn of all creation. Unlike, Adam and all of mankind who followed, Jesus was never created. He was born from God as a part of God Himself.
That brings us to your single New Testament quote, Romans 8:14. I am surprised that missed the dozens of other NT references to Christians as the sons of God. That is because one of the things Jesus provided by his resurrection was a "new birth". The ability for every human to move from simply a "child of God" because his body was created by God, to a full-born son or daughter of God by having their spirit reborn from God Himself.
I love the way John explains it in John 1:12,13 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." We become his true child, not because we have a flesh and blood, or were born from the sexual desires (will) of a man, but because we are reborn with the spirit of God Himself within us.
That same new birth is available to you, if you are willing to believe on his Name.
