There is no such verse in the Bible. Many people say that it is in the Bible, but you will never find it. This is only a phrase which has been passed down through the generations. Yet it is very true. So many people want God to do every thing for them; yet they will never do anything to try to help themselves. If we expect God to help us in accomplishing any thing, then we must be willing to put forth effort on our own. We may depend upon God to give us the strength which we need to do our part, but we still must be willing to do our part; and not just sit back and expect God to do every thing for us. There is no truer statement than the one which you mentioned, even though it is not specifically written in the Word of God. God expects us to do whatever we can; and He will always be there to help us.

It's not in the Bible, it's a perversion of what the Bible teaches.

Actually I think that is not in the Bible, (if I'm correct) you see, we can do nothing without God because without Him we wouldn't be here. He made us for His delight I always ask God questions and for His advise and from one way or another, He always gives me an answer.

I'd look in the Book of proverbs. It is never said exactly like that but many of the verses hold a message very similar.

I went to the quotations site, and this is a quote by an anonymous person. It is not in the Bible.

"God helps those who help themselves!"
Hezekiah 6:1
This verse, of course, is not in the Bible. Hezekiah sounds plausible enough, but is not a real book of scripture. "Yeah! That's from the book of Hezekiah, isn't it?" is the code-word for these kinds of phantom texts.

"God helps those who help themselves!"
Hezekiah 6:1
This "verse" is unbiblical in its meaning. It is exactly the opposite of the message of scripture.

Jer 17:5 (NIV) This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD."
