Nursing school is terrible. It is emotionally demanding. It is more work than you'd ever thought you'd do for grades that are barely acceptable. It is frightening, and exhausting.

It is also the most wonderful, rewarding, fulfilling and FUN experience I've ever had. I cherish the friendships I've developed, and I feel as if I'm doing my life's work. Every day when I get up, I feel that sense of "What does today have to offer?" Go for it!

I am 27 y-o and I have been a nurse for the past 5 years. I would say just like every other career, nursing has it's ups and downs. I would say to you make sure this is what you really want because this profession is not for everyone. Do your homework. Find out as much as you can about the area in which you want to pursue and take it from there.

For me, there are days when I find it very rewarding but there are also times when I am fed up with the shift work (esp. nights) and the politics. Good luck.

My older sister has been a trauma nurse for close to thirty years now. She loves her work and wouldn't ever consider anything else. It is a demanding profession, any medical field is. But it is one of the most rewarding things you can do as well.

If you choose to be a nurse remember that the hours stink, the work is hard and demands dedication. But if you are prepared for that it is one of the most richly rewarding things you can ever do.

just keep repeating...i will never see these ppl again after i grad, i will never see these ppl again, never see these ppl again. This is exactly how the instructors act....I got mine and good luck getting yours. They're in a classroom because they can't stand being a real nurse to real ppl. But then, I only went to one getto school in a huge city and couldn't get a job there to save my life with the name of their college on my resume.

But b4 nursing classes, there's some kick a.. hot biology teachers.

it is far better than medical school, but you also get paid less. I say if you want to get into medicine, go pre med not pre nursing. Might as well - trust me

it doesnt matter if its bad or not. if its what you really want to do with your life then you should just go head first into it.
