My father died from M.S. will I get it or does it not pass down the children? Does it skip genetations? Ok to the point, what is the chance of me getting it?

I hate to say, most questions about ms are unanswered questions at this point. What I recommend is to stay current with today's research: There are at least 5 major web sites that have authentic first-hand research information about ms -- Then you can be confident about the info that you get, as it will have come from a highly qualified source.

The place that I recommend starting is the National M S Society web site:
nmss.org

My uncle also died of ms, and his big mistake was to try to force himself to get better -- He basically drove his health right into the ground. If it turns out that you do indeed have ms, remember to "roll with the punches" -- You can't "beat" ms, but you *can* work with it, listening to what your body is telling you that you need, which is often things like not to over do it with too much salt or too much sugar, or to stay out of extreme temperatures.

I hope this helps. Stay positive: That's a great first step.

Not likely. I have M.S. and no one else in my family has it. Although there's no known cause it's thought to be environmedntal rather than heredity.

There is NO garantee that you will or won't get it. This is in the genes. It might miss you totally as well as any children you have, then out of the blue a new born will have it. My X-wife had it. My daughter does NOT have it as well as her daughter, (my grand daughter) does NOT have it. But ALL of my sister-in-laws (former) kids were born with it.

There is no evidence, that I am aware of, at this time that indicates that M.S. is genetic.
