i was just wondering , why people bother posting questions when they already have their mind made up on the answer , and then just pick whoever agrees with them as the best answer , doesn't really make sense, its called yahoo answers , not yahoo see how many people agree with me

to be honest no don't care about points if you looked at my profile you'd see I get a fairly good run with best answers anyway , but if I wanted to know others opinions I wouldn't be searching here , I'd be searching the Net and Blogs ...... I think you should remove the number 777 from your profile , someone as ignornat as you shouldn't be associated with that number ....that's if your smart enough to know its meaning , Judging by your comment your not

No Dan I didn't want an argument I Just wanted for the people taht do that to realise how narrow minded their making themselves look , if i wanted an arument i would have posted a statement like don't you think Muslims , Chriistains and atheists are the weakest minded groups on the planet... now that would be an argument question

yes but your question in that same context is the question in which you are refering to , but instead of wanting an aswer , you want everyone to ask that same question, and in return have the same opinion as you hince , you are playing devils advocate in reverse.............

When you put a question into a search engine like, how many $100,000,000. homes are in the U.S.?, for example, this may be a question posed because some one wants to buy a home at this cost. The this site pops up because some one asked that precise question.

So, all questions are relevant, but NOT all answer's are useful, just some. Others are needing many answer's to help them come to a logical solution and a perception with a broad spectrum to elaborate on.

You have a valid point. Maybe they aren't looking for an answer--they just want an ally to help prove their point of view to someone.

I always wondered why people ask questions that can just as easily be "googled". Like how many siblings Andrew Jackson had--like anyone alive right now would know that answer from personal knowledge of the Jackson family tree??? If they can research it , you can research it.

My 2 cents worth.

You are right, some people post questions not worth answering, still if there is one genuine question out of a 100 and we can all learn something from it, then this site is doing its job.

I like this approach more than some people who just go on to harass people.
Like the hunter guy who spends all his time making up nasty stuff about
vegetarians. What a pain.

To play "devil's advocate," I once got picked as best answer when I offered complete rebuttal to each thing that the asker said about Christians and how they are stupid, etc.

Most questions I've come across or asked were things that were never known by the asker in the first place, so I'm not sure how they could do what it is that you're saying. But the negativism is appreciated.

I agree. That is stupid.. Perhaps Yahoo Answers should change their rules to remove such questions.

So see what the reaction is.

Watching reactionaries from the safety of your home is fun. Doing it in person can end you up with a bloody nose.
