how about monogrammed napkins? just got them for my mother in law. potterybarn.com. they are gorgeous and a luxury that most would not buy for themselves.

how about a flannel robe from llbean. also monogrammed. got one this fall and LOVE it. go the pink.

i like anything with a monogram as you can see. makes it seem fancier to me. how about tickets to a show or dinner gift certificate. good luck. mil's are hard to buy for.

Take the easy route, find a store that she enjoys shopping in and get her a gift card for it.

Unless, of course, you're relationship with your mother-in-law is like mine. I've been wanting to give her a muzzle for seven years now. :)

What does she like to do? It should be something special, just for her ~ a gift certificate to get her hair or nails done. Something special like that.
