Depends on you and what you learn there and how it applies to the teachings of God in the commandments and the Gospels of Jesus that are common to two or more disciples.

Going to church alone does not make you a good person. There are a lot of bad people that attend church every week.

The only thing that makes anyone a "good" person is the values they have. There are lots of ways to be a good person and while going to church doesnt automatically make you good it does offer some form of guideance as to how to achieve good. Your heart is what ultimately makes you good whether your travels lead you to church or not (but it cant hurt!).

It definitely does not help you being a good person, because many people only go to church for socialising or for being seen there. Believe me, there are plenty of hypocrites going to church as often as they can, and when they get back home they beat their wives and children (or worse)!

No. That's pretty simple to find out, though. Depends on what church you go to. Some of them say that just doing "good deeds" you can get to heaven. But it's only by accepting your sin and confessing it to Jesus Christ can you be saved. You may be considered good, but deep down, nobody's good. We all commit sin one way or another, whether we actually do it, or whether we think about it in our minds. Why go to church when it means nothing to you and you're not going to get anything out of it? Like being able to go to heaven.

Church can give you the insight on how to be a good person, but so can so many other things. Your upbringing is a huge part of whether or not you're a good person.

Hell will be filled with church goers.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Church going is a work:
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Salavtion is Jesus Christ:
Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

church is for, but not for salvation:
Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

No more than going to McDonald's makes you a Big Mac.

No one is good and everyone has fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Church is for believers, those who have repented and put their trust in Christ. It is a place to come together to worship God, to fellowship with one another and provide encouragement for other believers. :)

Going to the church I attend helps to make us better people because our Pastor helps us to understand God's Word and how to apply it to our lives.
