I have a criminal record that is 7 years old. It has since been expunged/sealed. I need to fax that information to background check companies so they can update their records

7 years ago i had a misdemeanor placed on my criminal record. I know that you can legally deny it but the background check still shows it. I had my record expunged. But it still shows up. That is why i need the list so i can have them update their records.

There are hundreds of background screening companies and there is really no way for them to keep track of who has been expunged. When they do a background check and they see the charge has been expunged (if they see it at all) they should not report it. However, not all background screening companies do what they are suppose to.

Once the Court expunged your records notify your state agency which stores such records. IE the State Police. Better yet get a lawyer to do it.

you do not need to. now you can legally deny that you have ever been arrested or charged with a crime.
