It seems that this guy is more concern about himself than you. He wants to be ready when he's ready; not willing to compromise for the sake of the relationship.
There's so much you can say to a guy. If he already prejudged you in his mind, whatever you say will still be in a negative light. Sometimes guy pretends to not understand your message just so they'll have the opportunity to continue pursuing what they want.
Be as nice and kind in delivering the message to him as you think is possible and the rest is out of your control. His perception of you is reflected half on how you are and half on how his want you to be. You can only control your half. If you try your best to be nice and he thinks different of it, then that's just his opinion. It's not your fault. Move on and let him be who he wanna be.

Sometimes you need to be a little harsh, to get your point across. Just be honest, without trying to soften it up. Be clear about it. I'm not saying you have to be a b*tch about it. Even though he might feel it that way because he's being blown off. But just say it straight out.

i wouldnt give him another chance cos there is no way he couldve got closure that quick. anyway, just tell him you think he is a good guy and that you are glad he has got closure, but the time for you two has passed. its not selfish of you to want a guy to only have feelings for you. just mention you dont think he is capable of that yet. goodluck

If you really liked the guy..give him another chance; otherwise tell him you have a new man and that he got his closure a little too late!

Tell him the truth: you are not interested anymore. Simple. Don't play games. I know I would appreciate an honest person. Good luck.

first things first don't worry about hurting his feelings ...just say no i don't want to go out with you ... to be honest that is the only way he will leave you alone other wise you will just be leading him on and that is worse... by far... good luck

i would stop seeing him for at least a few weeks so that he can get some more distance from her and his old relationship. then see how things are at that point.

Just print out your question and give it to him. If he is a man then he will understand and move on with his life!
