i have a 19yr old female freind who told me she liked this 26 yo guy i know.. a player.
I warned her, he boned her and dumped her. Now shes crying.

ruthie.. even worse, he tried to let her off easy and she keeps chasing him, even while crying how bad he is.. lol
And there is a really "nice guy" co worker of mine who likes her. Hes always asking me for advice, but she wont give him the time.

Like means you enjoy someone company. they are pleasant, entertaining and make you feel nice.
And your right some people like your friend are foolish and fall for a line without thinking about tomorrow and pay a price for their stupidity.

She doesn't mean Like Love or something she probably means she likes his personality or attitude. Oh yeah be more spacific.

usually it's the chemistry-- he made her laugh or he was hot or he was really smart...whatever appeals to that particular girl will be what makes her like him.
