I have a similar condition, but mine is chronic cystitis. I get a UTI about 2-3 times every month, and have to take Pyridium (AZO Standard) to get any relief. If that doesn't help me after 3 days, I have to get an antibiotic, Cipro. My urologist says he is going to do a cystoscope on me next month to see if my bladder has a narrowed area in the "neck" part, which is why I keep having bladder inflammation. I have had kidney stones 2 times in the past, but the cystitis is ALL of the time. During the cystoscope procedure, he will open up any narrow areas, which can cause the accumulation of bacteria that causes this problem. I know how you feel, believe me. It's so very painful and irritating having to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes. So, maybe you need a cystoscope as well to solve your problem. Hope this helps. You also put you needed specific details--urgency to go to the bathroom, burning during urination, and frequency of going to the bathroom (even if it's just a few drops of urine each time), sometimes you run a fever, and can even have back pain in the area where the kidneys are located.

i don't have it but read about a person who did and i know a person who has it. in the story that i had read the woman was oppressed by terrible pain for years and years. she could not find any way to help it. no medical treatment as you have probably found out. in the story, she said she had tried everything. but she saw a sign for belly dancing. she thought "i have not tried that" and she took a class. not during the first class but later as she learned the movements, she said that she felt the pain "move". which was new, it had been hard and immovable before. it was very gradual but that was the pivotal moment. she was able to work into it and eventually get over the pain. starting from the belly dance movements. it was a very inspiring story. i read it on a listserv i am on called "healing dance". she was posting as an example of how dance healed her. if you want the story you can email me at gimpagain@yahoo.com. i kept it.
