If this is strictly a fashion thing it doesn't even matter where you get your clothes as long as they fit with whatever image you are copying. Hot Topic is a one stop store for kids looking to fit in. If you don't care about being cheesy then just go there since it's easiest. If you are at all creative, you'd go somewhere else. I'm serious, shop anywhere and look for different items in different stores. Learn how to sew if you don't know how and alter your clothing to look more 'punk'. It's really more about the attitude, political views, music and actively taking part in the underground scene not just what a few currently popular 'fad' bands are doing. If you can't figure this out then you may not be one.

Man you gotta be young... here's the test. If you can't find anything you absolutely LUV in a vintage store, you don't want to dress punk. Punk is all about creating you're own look from what pleases you, even if it's only temporary. I've done drastic things with my hair only to change it two week later and not feel bad about it. Punk is total freedom, so if you're asking advice because you haven't picked out a look, you are already exhibiting signs that you are NOT PUNK!!!

You have to be kidding me!I mean, there are a lot of people who have this kind of thoughts but to actually ask a question like this....It makes me feel like there's nothing good coming out of the new waves of society. Seeing people think like this makes me feel sick and it's not because I care about your lameass but because I care about the punk culture that gets deteriorated day by day by ignorant persons like...uhm..YOU! I can understand people liking Green day or maybe even taking Panic at the disco as punk, but this is just outrageous, sick and stupid
Go read a ****.ing book and decide you are a punk after you know what punk means
I am sorry for being such a *****, but you are DUMB!
I sure hope I was helpful:D

Yikes. What a question. Well, as for being punk, it's an attitude, an expression of being...not just a style. So, in order for you to look punk, you need to express it through your clothes, hair, etc. It varies on who you are. I'm punk, but I've taken all my piercings out, I don't wear my hair spiked and it's only black, nothing exciting. I wear normal jeans with chucks and my fav band tees. Then, there's my husband, who is also punk. He has a mohawk, his bridge is pierced, he's got sleeves (tattoos in case you don't know), studded belts, chucks, and leather jackets.
In other words, my point is, in order to look punk, you have to be punk.

I remember being young and wanting to fit in. However, at the time fitting in meant being clean cut and preppy. Thank God for that, I would've been a horrid punk. Be yourself, perhaps that means "punk" or preppy, or something in the middle. Trust me, 5 years from now no one will remember or care what kind of clothes you wore, they'll remember the sort of person you were.

Not to be mean, but you sound like a huge poser. Just because the punk scene is supposedly "in" doesnt mean you have to change who you are just so you fit the sterotype as being "punk" punk girls are considered white trash and tacky, be who you are, dont start dressing differently because its what you think is in, because its not. be yourself, asking where to get punk clothes and accesseories and how to be punk, just proves that you are not being yourself, which is not genuine.

I don't know of a website for punk, but for the clothes and style I would start with ebay, start with inexpensive items and see where it takes you.

You just can't 'turn' anything. If you just instantly turn into something, I'm sorry but nobody that is 'punk' will talk to you because well . . . POSER. If you were really into the style it would be like a gradual thing. :LKSJDFLKSJDF.

if you are going to be anything make sure that you are doing it because it is somthing that you want to do. i spent years being everything that i could until i found that none of it worked for me. now i am just myself it works out better that way. but uf you are truly thinking that this is somthing that you want skater clothes usually work so try any of the skater sites for products. they seem to be kind of punky.
