Could the early Christian Church have been doing Herods bidding then they had a falling out?

That has to be the most off theory I have heard.

Herod was dead by the time Jesus came around, or at the very least Jesus was a child.

Herod was a Hellenist that despised anything Jewish. He was also very paranoid he was a Biblical Stalin. He killed off most of his own sons out of fear that they would take his power.


though it makes an interesting story, maybe you could sell it to Dan Brown.
