My husband had oral surgery to remove five teeth (two retained decidiuous teeth), and had braces (for the second time in his life) when he was in his late 40's. He really hated it, and it did not work anyway, despite wearing them for four and a half years. I am distrustful of the orthodontic profession.

I've seen 50 year olds with braces...if you need them...you need them.

some people don't have their own teeth at 50, go for it keep your teeth looking good.

50 year olds today are yeterday:s 30 year old So, more power to him or her,,,and welcome to his world of getting ready to live sin ce he or she has paid their dues,,,,of putting himself on back burner after raising his kids and Now it is his turn....Good Luck
