I would just try getting to know him better before you ask him out. That way he might end up liking you for something other than your looks. If you have already done that than, casually hint at you two being a couple. Or you could ask him straight forward what he thought about being a couple. He'll hopefully get the hint, and tell you how he feels for you or doesn't. And if he doesn't don't worry it's not the end of the world there are plenty of other fish in the sea!

In this day and age it is perfectly fine for the chick to make the first move. If you are really digging this guy, go for it. He may be too shy to approache you about the situation. You never know, he might be feeling the exact same way that you do. If thats the case figure out something that you two can do that you're both in to. (Hint Hint: Think SPORTS)! Don't be shy, get what you want.

If he is really great go for it. But you have to think about it very good. Does he notice you? Does he act like a jerk when you two are in the same room and all of his friends are there. I mean how many women ask out guys. If you think that you would be good with him there should be nothing stoping you. wait a week or see, Watch his personality, Watch his traits. WATCH HIS ATTIDUDE, be aware you dont want to make a fool of your self. Strike a converation be the bigger person. Talk to him see what he his like. If you are very sure you want to go through with it do it.

Don’t hesitate just do it as looking back in hindsight to things that could have been, is sometimes a bit depressing.
If you have feelings for this person and you have a lot in common go for it, as you never know where this could lead and the worst thing that can happen is he says no and you remain good friends for the rest of your life.

Ask what kind of movies he likes or what kind of restaurant he enjoys. If you like the same ones, then ask if he would like to go to that certain movie you've been wanting to see or that place to eat you would like to try out. Then take it from there. Good luck

Well.... you id say for you to ask your friend to ask him if he wants to go out with you. You could pass a note to him maybe. I dont know if this will work, but id try it.

give him eye contact and flirt for him...talk to him and tell him how u feel for him..who knows maybe he feels the same way
u should ask him out for a movie, dance, party etc...
