1. Lawlessness. In a civilized society, you must have laws and enforce them.
2. Disease. Illegals are not subject to the testing for disease. I have heard something about this on talk radio. Apparently, when an immigrant comes here, they are tested for AIDS, Hepatitis, etc.
3. They do not pay the same taxes that legal Americans do.
4. Illegals do not learn English and do not assimilate into our society. They become a permanent underground underclass.
5. Illegals are destroying our hospitals. Hospitals are not allowed to refuse service. Hundreds of hospitals have closed all around America because they are not getting paid for the services they perform.
6. Terrorists can enter the country illegally. This brings a whole different issue up.
I am 100% for a system to allow immigrants. I am 100% against illegal immigration and amnesty. I am for targeting and arresting employers who employ illegals. If they cannot get jobs, they will leave.

effective i love Rons theory on border safe practices i understand he doesnt opt for to construct a fence and all that. yet he might want to be proper they are going to jsut come through it besides. So why no longer attempt purely drying up the nicely first then if it contains progression a fence shall we do it!! Ron might want to or no longer be our next president even if the further he receives his recommendations some publicity the further he will commence to make experience to the regular public. a minimum of we get one element with Ron and thats honesty.

To be honest with you, I think this uproar about illegal immigration is way overblown. Look at your community; who does the crap job - roofing, yardwork, maids and janitors. These people work, they pay taxes.
I disagree with Bush on nearly everything but his idea of finding some way to reasonably deal with this makes sense. Sure, tighten up the border, make it more difficult for illegal aliens to get in.
But don't forget, we have a large population of unemployed people who prefer to be that way - put their sorry butts to work, make unemployment not profitable. I'd say raise the minimum wage to make these bums work, but they still won't. But by enacting some of the draconian schemes I see here will force a rise in the minimum wage to try to attract workers to do these crap jobs.
Some sort of well regulated amnesty program is what is needed for those who are working here now. Keep the borders controlled, return the freeloaders and criminals to their country of origin and this thing can actually help America and our economy.

Consequence of illegal immigration:
1. Social welfare will be paid to those not supposed to receive,
2. Employment opportunities for citizens will decrease,
3. Taxes from illegal workers are not collected,
4. Crime will increase due to poverty stricken illegals.

There are many pros and cons, but if this is your homework, don't expect to find too much useful information around here, you'd be better off doing little research of your own so you can form your own opinions based on facts you find.

well besides the cheap food , by the way it will still go up once they are legal . the real costs are more jobs lost ,over crowed schools ,and mexico is not a poor country and by letting this go on we are supporting mexico's corruption that corruption will continue to grow. and don't you think more people will want to escape meanwhile . and more and more trades and jobs will be destroyed
