I am 18 Latino (spanish decent) yes It hurt, But I took it like a man, i love corn rows,

I have an African Sheen Spray, that balances itching and helps keep it clean.

The Guy that did them, was able to do it with 2inches of hair.

I want these to last as long as possible.
I sleep with a Durag.
and I shower with a shower cap.
And Use the Sheen Spray at least 3times a day.
I push on the row when there is a itch.

Danny,

It sounds like you are doing everything right.

However, because you have naturally straight hair, they won't last for more than 4 weeks, at the most.

Before the next time you get them done, call Guy and tell him you want extensions for stabilization, not length. He will tell you what you need to do.

the position a headscarf or bonet everynight once you flow to mattress...keep your scalp greased and spray your cornrows with braid sheen. this can keep them searching good and they ought to very last for extra or less 2 weeks.

If you have straight hair, your cornrows will last longer than week. In addition to everything you're doing, you can brush them in the direction of the braid.

Why can't you wear extensions?

Sounds like an itchy, time consuming complicated undertaking.
Had a couple put in my hair in Jamaica and did not face your same problems.
Good luck and may your itching be bearable.

when you get your head braided make sure you put a duerag on before you go to bed or work out or any kind of activity. that helps it from "frizzing" out. and also keep puting vaseline of grease in your hair that helps your scalp at the same time.
