Kind of a curve ball for christians, but what would happen to you, personally, if what you believed was no longer true? I see so much supposed evidence on here for god, so I am asking the other side to perform this thought experiment to see what it's like.

Ask any atheist if, should God be proven beyond any doubt, whether they'd change their views, and 99% (including me) would say yes. Ask any theist the counter question, as you have, and 99% of them will say no, they'd be firm in their faith, etc. That's the difference. Sad thing is, even my answer will confirm to them how much righter they are than I am. Sigh...

I would still believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins. God is no theory so therefore it can never be disproved. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Actually, I have thought of this. But, I just keep believing. Heck, if we just die, think of that. We will no longer think, the brain just dead. So, I will never know I ever lived and I would never know I was wrong. But, I have the hope and faith that I am right, I would sure hate to believe there no God or Jesus and be wrong.

good question. i have never thought about it and i still won't because God is real and will be forever. if i thought about your question (even though it is a good one) i would start to doubt the Lord and with evrything he has done for me i can't do it. there is proof that there is a God imean honestly do you think that we as people can do some of the things we do without him?

Menk, I understand this is a hypothetical and as such, I should accept your premise, but it is impossible to prove or disprove something that is so completely outside and beyond our existence that it is completely uknowable (save it chooses to reveal itself), and I can't even, hypothetically conceive of this situation happening. Its like trying to prove or disprove whether someone loves you with a calulator. Its the wrong tool for the job.

I'd do what many people do who have no religious beliefs: I'd stay moral, from a conviction that doing the right thing actually benefits us all.

I'd still believe it, I don't care what they try to prove, I won't stop believing in my Almighty and Powerful God, no matter what.
