There was this guy that I met through a mutual friend and we really hit it off, he was always extremely nice and funny. We talked almost every night and everything seemed to be going great until my friend asked him if he liked me and he said just as a friend. I was dissapointed but we still kept talking and hung out a few times. He invited me to a concert and just when i thought that he might have had a change in feelings the talking pretty much slowed down and now i haven't talked to him in about a month. What do you think that this means?

try to strike it up again. you may have missed your chance. unless this guy's a player or gay, he was lying about liking you. guys don't like to be vulnerable, so if another guy asks him if he likes you he's gonna say no, otherwise the guy just pointed out his weak spot. i know because i have done this before. either he is shy, and heard that you found out what he said, or he did lose interest. call him out of the blue sometime and see if he wants to get some coffee or lunch or whatever sometime. its cliche but it can work.

the problem with friends setting others up is the obligation factor. this guy probably felt obligated to date you even though he wasn't really up for it.
could be he doesn't like you specifically, or could be he just isn't in the right frame of mind for dating in general.
bottom line, he should have at least had the deceny to give you his honest reasons..
girls have been like this towards me too. they just fade away, rather than be honest that they aren't interested.
it's probably best that you move on and look for guys who are more suitable for you. this guy obviously doesn't know what he wants..

Strike 1 i guess he must have told your friend the truth. Don't frown on it there are plenty of guys out there he was just not the one.

He likes you as a friend, but nothing more - at least not yet. He might in the future, but not if you put pressure on him.

i just read ur question with my hubby and he says (from a guys side) that . . . sometimes a guy can feel insecure about himself and sometimes a girl needs to make the first move . . . .

i hate to give false hope, but maybe he's shy and he someone found out that you like him
and now he feels that hes leading you on, and he doesnt want to hurt you
or he might be just really sesnitive
