Are you thinking of a paper towel? WoW! You are jonesing for coffee as bad as i usually am when i wake up.

But the towel is ssooo not a goood idea. Cause it is bleached differently. The paper towel manufacturer's actually know about this, and they say don't do it, cause when they made and bleached that towel with clorine bleach, they never intended to have someone put water boiling hot through it and then drink the results, see?

Also, many of them have lint and maybe other chemicals, like the quilted.

Did you know, you can get a permanent filter? It is a basket that is webbed, and it fits right inside the coffeemaker basket. That is nice to have around.

In the meantime, guess you just have to do what I do. With you're eyes half open, and sometimes you're shirt inside out, that's how bad ya need the coffee! Go on down to the coffee shop, or stand or diner.

Here's the good news! If ya get out that way, ya just mind end up picking up something more than the coffee!

And they'll be hot and steamy too!

A paper towel works great, just increase the amount of coffee grounds by about 25%, as the paper towel absorbs more of the flavor.

Hope this helps.

I don't drink coffee but I have seen people in my family use clean panty hose, cut to fit of course. Also a white clean T-shirt, cut to fit and white paper towels.

paper towels and paper napkins can work. I have done that before and it works like a champ. I would suggest double or triple layering the paper towels though..

Absolutely! I've used paper towels - I've found that two layers works best. Don't use toilet paper, though. My wife used a thin dish rag one time. Tasted kinda funny.

i cut two white (plain white) paper towels cut into squares. i put them together so the outline looks like that star of david...
if not that, then you could always just use a folded up napkin!

my grandmother uses a plain white tee-shirt...but that's sick.
