Try a banana twist in the back, and push it up a bit so there's a boufant on the head and wear slightly curled bangs, and separate the boufant and bangs with a wide headband OR wide folded scarf (ooo, better yet, go with the folded scarf!)

Look at pictures of the Jackie Kennedy at that time. You will get an idea. Page boy cut with a big poof on top. Or they wore the "french roll" or beehive hairdo.

They wore Afros and Afros puff,mutton tops. be hives,but the one that got me was the boufant were you tease the hair up on top of the head, look like you were wearing a top hat.

It depends on the age. My mother wore a high "beehive" hairdo. Had it done at the beauty shop every week. We (teenagers) wore ours long and straight.
