I did 1st treatment. I comb for nits & eggs everyday. I sleep with my head covered in Olive oil every night. Since I killed the adults & nymphs. Do the eggs hatch every day? I know all instructions say clean wash all bedding, clothes etc. hot dry things over 20 minutes. repeat lice killing shampoo in 10 days. Who says the eggs were laid exactly 10 days before 2nd treatment?
I need more info. Am I doing enough? My doctor gave me 5% permytherin. The pharmasist (sp?)says it will kill eggs, but different websites say no really.
who wants to help me? Watch out going to movie theatre - that's where I got them. I thought I got rid of them over the summer.

hi- i'm a 50 yr old mum- i live in the country but lived in both the country and city when my kids were young. I had a daughter with long wringlets like nicole kidman.her hair was thick, she use to get head lice often at school and i would wash everything even put her mattress and bedding out in sun every weekend. I was worried about the amount of chemicals i had to usre every wweek on her head, i tried orange medic- it's natural- friends tried it and said it was good, unfortunately my daughter was allergoc to it and could not use it. after years of trying everything, even i use to spray kero into her hair before tying it up DRASTIC MEASURES WERE NEEDED, i found the best method of all was cheap $2 conditioner. Wash hair then put on half cup of cheap conditioner. leave on for 10 mins- this helps to drown or sufficate the litter blitters, then with a nit comb , go thru hair, use a dish of water to rinse comb with each swipe or wipe onrto tissue paper- you will be shocked at how many you get. When you think you have finished, go over again from a different direction (eg. from base to crown) try srapping the scalp , gently to pick up those clinging to life. continue untill no more eggs or lice are on comb.- Rinse hair throughly under running water. The first time you do this, you may wish to try a lice shampoo but it will still contain poisons.Do each weekend or every second day till you are satified they are gone. I know it is hard to believe that this will readicate the pests but BELIEVE ME i tried every available lotion and potion on the market, every suggestion known to man and this was the only way we combatted the problem. I have long hair too and when my daughter got them i did as well and it drove me nuts. Remenmber too, once you have done this, not too wear used hair ties and favorite jackets, scarves ,hats, beanies etc, leave these items in sun for hour or so . I hope you do give this a try and let me know how it goes. cooee shari@yahoo.com

After doin the nit treatment, you NEED to wash your bedsheets, pillows, etc...do exactly what it says to do.
You will probably have to redo it again in 1 wk.
