YOU MUST TELL HIM!!! i only say this because... i am a marine. i know exactly what he is about to go through. The training is tough, it takes a lot to stay motovated. even if he dosent feel the same way about you, it wont matter. trust me, he will be happy to have you to write to him while at boot camp. The Marine Corps is not the end of his life, dont give up just because he is doing something different.

Don't tell him now. Wait until he comes back. I'm currently in a relationship with a girl that leaves for the air force in June. I don't yet have any idea whats going to happen or how long she'll be gone. All I know is that I'm scared to death I'm going to lose her. I suggest you spare yourself that trouble. I'd say you should try to stay in touch and if you still care for him when he comes back then you should try and make it work.

Listen if hes going to the marines then tell him the day before he leaves because if you don't tell him and he doesn't come back then you'll feel guilty believe me I know from experience

well, he will come back eventually. you could still say to him "hey I like you, I think we could have something together, so maybe when you're back in town for good, we can catch up." I wouldn't want to embark on a long distance relationship right now. you're just about to graduate and start a new life, so have fun. Maybe in the future you two will see each other again and can have a relationship then. find someone else for now.

If you don't think you'll have a chance with him or it would be too hard to have a relationship with him since he's leaving so soon, ask to be penpals with him once he leaves. Then you can still keep in contact, even if it's long distance.

"Accept defeat" should be stricken from your vocabulary at once! Replace it with "go for it", and see what happens. It's better you try and find out then to pass up oportunities wondering what if?! Don't hold your feelings back, you'll regret it.

I think you are one very wise young lady. If you have strong feelings for him, they will still be there when he comes back. To commit to a relationship now would be bad timing.
Please tell your mother for me that she did a fine job raising you!

You should tell him, otherwise you'll always think about him and the lost opportunity to find out if he does like you. That will set you free (knowing).

If something is meant to be, then it will happen anyway. If this guy is in the stars for you, then he will come back into your life from whereever, meaning you don't have to tell him. If it is not your fate, then it is not, and if it is, it is---no matter what you do....
