About 6 months ago, I hit my head on the side of the pool. Ever since, that area on my head hurts. whenever I press on it or place it on a hard area (such as a car head rest and the wall). The roots on that area feel really odd and kind of hurt on that area. I'm a recently turned 14 girl and I'm really scared. Please you guys answer this question. Im not overweight, and my BMI is just right. I asked my mom to make an appointment for the doctors but I just had the idea that it could be cancer so what do you guys think?

No, it doesn't sound like cancer at all. Did you go to the doctor or hospital when it happened? You may of damaged nerve endings in that area and it could take a long time to heal.

But you are doing the right thing by going to the doctor. It's silly to worry about something when you can see the doctor and find out your okay or get something fixed and be done worrying!

I am not a doctor, but I am nearly 100% certain that it is not cancer. You should go to a doctor (as you are already going to do) and have it checked out as it shouldn't be still hurting from a bump 6 months ago, but it is probably something minor and nothing to worry about. Good luck :O)

you don't get cancer from hitting your head! you might have a bone bruise or something of the sort, you may have suffered a mild concussion at the time which can result in chronic headaches. if it were cancer/tumor, you'd most likely have symptoms in other areas of your body. if you're having changes in vision, balance etc, then i'd go see someone. otherwise, take some tylenol!!

It is not likely cancer, though some cancer is associated with injuries.
Some injuries take a long time to get better, especially if you keep squeezing and prodding them!
Going to the Dr. is a good idea, if nothing else, it should relieve your mind.

Nothing you describe is even remotely suggestive of cancer but I am pleased that your Mother is going to have you evaluated by a physician as cancer or not this is obviously a problem and a concern that needs to be resolved.

It's fine, physical trauma doesn't cause cancer, however, since you're allready going to to the doc, ask to be tested for HPV, it can cause cancer, and with a new vaccine, you can prevent it, almost 100% of the time.

You probably should have gone to the doctor when it happened. I doubt if it's cancer. You may have had a slight concussion and it's not completely healed.

Not cancer! Probably just a really bad bruise. Good idea to visit doctor so he/she can put your mind at ease. Good luck!

I doubt it's cancer, but you reallllly need to see a DR.
What exactly does BMI have to do with this tho?
