If you had to judge by the number of Medal of Honor medals given to each service I think the Army or Marines would come out on top. It's not a perfectly fair comparison because the Air Force split from the Army after WW II.
Your questions leaves a lot open though, the Army or Marines, by their basic duties will put you in the line of fire more often (probably) which would give you a higher chance of having to do something honorable like saving someone or whatever. But depending on your job in the Air Force or Navy you could be in the middle of things everyday...
Whichever one, serving in the military at all is an honorable thing to do.

There are various branches for various aspects of combat. When monitoring , controlling and fighting in the skies became logistically complex, the US Army Air Corps broke off and became its own branch tasked with that mission--the US Air Force--in 1947 [I think it was]. Again, the Army has no resources to monitor the seas. The Navy/Marines cannot by themselves occupy territory--too few land based units. Each branch has its own responsibility and deals with specific tasking and capabilities for achieving that mission. Depending upon which branch you are in, that one is usually the "best". Just keep in mind that no one branch can achieve victory in any war by operating by itself.
Even though I was not one of "U"ncle "S"am's "M"isguided "C"hildren,
I did serve but still, by some people's standards, "A"in't "R"eady to be a "M"arine "Y"et.
So, each branch thinks it is the best but is still very dependent upon the others.
You will find that the Army and Marines always think the Navy and Air Force have it very easy.

I would say all branches are equally "honorable". Mind you, within any service, some individuals will always be more (or less) 'honorable' than others. But as to the importance of each of the branches--they all fit together to make up the whole. They may do different things, but that doesn't make any of them more or less important than the others.

When you raise your hand and swear to obey the president and protect the country, no matter which branch you are in, you are a patriot. From the USMC to the Navy, the Army, the Air Force and Coast Guard, you have committed yourself to the freedom of all Americans and this glorious country.

It all depends on you dude. There all equally honorable so I would join whichever branch I felt like I would be doing the most in.
But if I just had to pick one then I would say the Marines. They are the hardest and they are the first ones into battle, so you'll be the first one to hit the front lines, the greater the danger the greater the glory. Plus they have a proud history.

All the branches have their jobs and duties. It is an honor to be part of any of them.

I am a Navy vet...and while I am a little biased...I honestly feel that every branch is just as important as the next.
Except for the Puddle Jumpers...but they are Dept of Transportation.. :) Just kidding!
