I keep finding questions and answers on here from religious people who are attacking homoesexuals and I don't recall anywhere in the bible where it is said that it's wrong. Call me ignorant if you like but I'd like the quote, and I mean chapter and verse, from the bible where it says it's against God's law to be homosexual.
So let's be clear about this. Anyone who just rants about me or anyone else going to hell shouldn't bother. I want an actual bible reference about this.

Maybe I should point out I'm not homosexual but as some people will have found out I have little tolerance for anyone who attacks homosexuality.
I appreciate all the quotes I'll dig out my bible and read up on them.

It doesn't.
The Bible doesn't tell you not to be gay. It isn't one of the 10 commandments or one of Jesus' 2 commandments. People try to twist scriptures (because a lot of it is vague & confusing & open to interpretation!) to meet their agenda. Anyone who is preaching hatred & violence against other in the name of God, religion or the Bible is either lying or deluded. God is love.
Here's a real simple commandment: Don't hurt anyone! This includes you, your neighbour, animals, the planet etc. Basically, if your action is causing harm to someone else it is sinful (this covers everything from lying, cheating & stealing to murder). If your action isn't hurting anyone (not even yourself) it isn't sinful.
What two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is their business & I don't believe it's wrong. If one person is using the other or deliberately hurting them etc then that's a different story but that has nothing to do with whether they're straight or gay.
Be a decent human. We are made to love. If you find someone you love who loves you then there's nothing wrong with that as far as I'm concerned.
Jesus was very accepting of people, even the outcasts whom society loathed (tax collectors & prostitutes). He saw the good in people. He was very disapproving of self-righteous people who imagined themselves better than everyone else. He had more sympathy for sinners who thought themselves unworthy but who were genuinely repentent.
Some people read the Bible & miss the whole point. They can quote a verse from the Bible verbatim & miss the intent. They know the letter of the law but not the heart (wait a second, didn't Jesus say that...?) Whited sepulchres, get a grip!
:)
Peace out.
Jesus rocks! Don't forget his birthday's coming up (at least the day that the Roman empire chose to celebrate it....)

Does Bible say to eat, to use restroom, etc NO beacuse it is Obvivous.
Homosexuality is against the law of Nature. If ur parents would have been Homosexual then plz tell me how in the world would you have come in this world.
Your parents by the Grace of God were Man and Woman and so the result was You. If ther will be Man+ Man or Woman+Woman then how the population will grow and one more thing it makes absolutely no sense to be a Homosexual.
PEACE.

What's funny is this: context is tossed to the wind. Regarding crossdressing, pretending one was a woman was an easy way to avoid fighting in the militia. It was a sin to avoid one's duty, hence a sin to dress as as a woman.
Homosexuality as spoken about often in our English translations, but few Christians put forth the effort to look with dilligence at the original meanings of many of the words translated as homosexual.
What most Christians believe is this:
That they have words inspired by God.
That those words were accurately transcribed by writers into the Hebrew.
That for centuries, scribes copied these scriptures without error.
That there were people contemporary with the Apostles who remembered and wrote exactly what God wanted written about Christ, among the many others who wrote about him.
That at some point Groups of people joined together and decided which, among multitudes, books should be included in the canon of the Bible. (The fact that there are multiple selections doesn't alarm anyone as each canon is known to be EXACTLY what God wants. The fact that there is disagreement only means that the others must be wrong)
That at some point, interpreters and writers took the Torah, and added correct punctuation and vowels (It was written without either) per God's direction, and without error and created an English version of this.
That at some point, interpreters and writers took all of the other books of th Bible and created an inerrant English copy of each.
Does it say one shouldnt' be gay? Look into the verses with a good concordance and see for yourself.

There are several places in Scripture where homosexuality is condemned - Onan spilling his seed, the scene with the two guests just before the destruction of Sodom and Gemorra...
but the real reason many Christians don't accept homosexuality is that God told the humans to go forth and multiply. They believe that the primary reason for sex is procreation - and on that basis, they condemn ANY sexual activity outside of marriage, or that does not leave itself open to the possibility of procreation. That's why the Catholics, for instance, don't accept birth control. Since no homosexual activity can result in the birth of a child, it is not permitted.
That's the religious reasoning - accept it or not. But for many people, it is not a case of bigotry - it's a theological belief.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, not adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Also Romans 1-2, too long to type.
Sodom and Gomorrah was a city destroyed for its sexual perversions, including homosexuality. I have nothing against gay people, they're people and they're cool, but the lust of the same sex is not of God, and people aren't just, born that way. God would not create someone to be a way that is against what He says. It is wrong however, for a christian, a supposedly God loving following person, to attack a homosexual. Everyone has sin and no one has the right to point it out in someone else. Jesus wouldn't do this, nor should His people.

If you don't recall any scriptural verse with regards to homosexuality......let me help you with "actual verses"
Romans 1: 24-27 Which says:
24) Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, 25) even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26) That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27) and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
This is just a few verses in "one" bible book....Romans. There are more friend. Do some research. Homosexuality is condemned in the bible. Those religions who turn their noses up to these biblical truths/scriptures...are in effect turning their noses up at God himself. Although, hate tactics are not the way to help ones who want help. Jesus would never use hate/protests etc. to get his message out to the world. F. Phelps is a "hate" preacher. True christians don't hate homosexuals. They do however follow the bible in practicing things God loves, not condemns.

There should not ever be any Christians in here attacking anybody. All sins are alike. We all are sinners. Having homosexual relations is a sin and so is fornication of any type, so is stealing.
It's in both Leviticus and Romans. Also the city of Sodom was offensive to God because of this sin.
