Okay, I'm a girl and my best friend is a guy, a married guy. The two of us work together every day in a cubicle so there's lots of close-quarter contact. Nothing physical has happened between the two of us, but lately I've just felt that there's a "spark" between us. I feel like it's only a matter of time before something happens. I have no clue what to do. I find myself trying to hold in how much I care about him, but lately he's been talking about his marriage and how he wants to end it and I'm just thisclose to screaming "END it, please, be with me." I just love him. It's the weirdest thing, like the switch just got flipped. My question: what do I do? Can I go on being just friends with him? Are the little things he does and comments he makes (e.g. "I love you" "you're the only one who understands me", etc.) just things guys say to their friends who are girls? I am so lost. This just sucks.

It is up to you to sabotage his marriage. Go on, you can do it.

He is interested in you and is dropping you hints.

You could let him know you think he is a great guy and you think he would make a great catch, or something to that effect...kind of drop hints back.

BUT, DO NOT become involved with a cheating situation, no matter how bad he says it is. i think you have to lay that oi the line right up front if anything further does develop. it would be really wrong to do, and he is vulnerable right now, and may resent it in time...any number of bad things could happen, not to mention it would be a sin.

Another idea at this point might be to try and be a real friend and not think of your own interests right yet. Suggest to him they get some counseling, etc. would be what friend would do.

Good things come to those who wait. don't rush this....it might be too much for you to handle emotionally too, so perhaps you should consider getting some counseling yourself.

please don't cheat!

I think you should be careful. Sure it is possible for a guy and a girl to be just friends, but it sounds like you are looking for 'more than friends' with him. Remember he is married! He has a wife at home who he has a commitment to. It is quite possible they are lacking something in their relationship, good communication - for instance, and he gets that need fulfilled with you. Although having you around to fulfill this need seems like a positive thing to him, and it may make it easier to fall into an 'affair' type of relationship with him, is that really what you want? If you really want to be a 'friend' to him, ask him why his wife doesn't understand him like he feels you do. Offer suggestions ( a woman's point-of-view) to help him correct his marital problems. Besides, you don't want a guy to leave his wife for you...who's to say he wouldn't do the same to you later?

Listen just be friends...dont be the other women...

If he is really going to end it with his wife dont be the reason for it or atleast do give him reason to do it...

When all is said and done and he actually divorces his wife then see if the spark is still there...and then use your best judgement.

just food for though say he does end it with his wife what makes you think he wouldnt do it to you when he gets bored with you...
just keep that inmind
"once a cheat always a cheat"

don't let LOVE cloud your judgement.

you don't need to put malice into your working relationship with him just becoz you see each other always and you feel like your infatuations had developed to a higher level . maybe he loves you "only" as his bestfriend or a sister. and you don't want to be framed up as the third party in their rocky relationship right? don't rush things and wait till his marriage is over.

go on with that special friendship but just bear in mind your limitations coz it's hard when that friendship begins to blossom into a tragedy later. make sure it's just special not illicit.

Wait. You still dont know if he will divorce or not, just wait. When he does then still wait because if he leaves her then u might see things you didnt see in him before, and they can be good or bad. Do not go running to him when he leaves his wife. Think about it and wait. Dont make yourself so easy.

You need to RUN away from this. You are getting played for all you are worth. You WILL break up his marriage (and be sued as a co-respondent), ruin your reputation, and then lose him in the long run if you keep this up. FORGET this guy. PLEASE FORGET THIS GUY. This is SO wrong. YOU WILL LOSE!!!
