I am getting my bottom back tooth #31 extracted on tuesday after a root canal and a surgery to snip the root did not work. Has this happened to you and was it ok or did you have complications after it was pulled?

After my wisdom teeth were pulled the ones on the bottom ended up getting "dry socket". Horrible pain and took weeks of going back to the doctor to pack the hole with medicine soaked gauze. after about a month I was back to normal

i didnt have the root canal part that you've had...
my wisdom tooth was extracted and it broke into 3 pieces. they had to dig in the hole where the root was to get the pieces out and im telling you i felt every single bit of that digging. it was so bad my knees were banging together against my will.

once the pieces were out, the hole was packed with some gauze and it healed just fine.

I would say that as long as you have a good doctor/oral surgeon/dentist, then you have nothing to worry about. The healing time could take longer....and swishing with salt water works better than digging in the with a toothpick ( opens the wound) LOL

when I had wisdom teeth pulled I just slept for 2 days and felt sore, took pain killers and was fine on the third day
