How many of you people enjoy a nice dark beer like a "stout" appose to a light beer like "bud light"? Tell me if you like light or dark and your favorite beer?

I absolutely love this dark beer called Beckenridge Vanilla Porter, Its nice a dark and has a hint of vanilla. its so much more satisfying than an light beer (especially in the winter!)

Most types of beer can be enjoyed at anytime, but there are a few variables that will influence your enjoyment. Some beers taste better from the bottle while others are great served in glass. It can also depend on the event or setting. Dark beers are traditionally served during colder seasons, but can be enjoyable any time during the year. "Light" beers may quench your thirst during a hot summer day, but can also be enjoyed during all seasons. It can also depend on whether you are having a meal at the same time because different types of beers go well with different foods. So honestly, it just depends.

Pale Ale - In my opinion, most domestic beer is pretty watered down from what good beer should be. Stout and porter is a bit too heavy for my tastes but there are lots of good beers in between. I like beer that has lots of flavour. I usually look for pale ales from a local micro brewery. Some of them are mass produced and still pretty good. I often go for India Pale Ale which many of the bigger breweries are making now. It is usually a bit lighter than other pale ales but has a bit more hops to give it flavour.

Sweetwater beer from Atlanta is the shizz. they have lights and darks. my brother makes beer also. he makes some nice stouts and porters in Asheville NC

Light... but just 2 weeks ago I tasted, Scoth ale.... which is a dark beer. one of the best i have ever tasted
