My daughter is having a LaForte I proceeder done for jaw misalignment. What is post op like and any food ideas which need to go through a straw. Her jaw will be wired for six weeks

I can't really give you any food ideas you probably havent already thought of but what I can stress if make sure she doesnt overeat or try new foods which can cause nausea and make her vomit!!! If she is over age, Avoid Alcohol! And most important of all, sip through your straw very very slowly to avoid choking. Protein shakes might help her from getting malnutrition!! Like those instant breakfast shakes, they dont have to be just for the A.M. hrs, you know.

get a blender and give her a chance to taste food cominations..lol
to here hearts content, she might get creative when she gets hungry. baby food with extra milk
