How long will my dreadlocks be?

My hair is really curly, and is about 20cm long (goes past my chin now). If I dreadlock my hair now, how long would it be? Just for the record, right now I tie my hair since its long enough, and would be like to be able to do the same if and when I dread it.

i would say about 3/4 the length it is now... i dont know though im just guessing
