yea, def. not 300. around 225 as someone said. i know, you're probably like "yea, right" but it was that low. it's the torque they were after on those big trucks.

208 to 275 hp on the 1973 and up motors
365 on the 1972 and older motors
Ford decompressed all their motors in 1973 for fuel economy
The timing is also retarded ( built in ) post 73 better torque/less hp
Add a good cam and a holley and git r done

Its the torque that your after , not the horse power on a 3/4 ton truck.
