most indian girls (those who have their value system firmly installed) are mature beyond their years, very responsible and selfless. They make great wives and the best mothers. I don't know about the ones which are too westernised., or influenced by other cultures.

probably you are the only one who thinks they are difficult people to be with in a relationship with. that's why not many ppl seem to be answering and agreeing. and why, how many nationality women have you dated so far to form a comparison chart?
as far as 'high maintenance' goes, you said it! they are long lasting and longer returns, that's why the maintenance charges are also high.
