The pain started in my armpit, almost felt like a bruise. Then a few days later I had a bump in my chest and it is very tender and painful when touched. There is nothing visibly wrong, but you can feel the bump

I would go to the doctor it could be more serious than staph especially bumps around the chest area for a female.
I had an infection on my knee that I put off for a week and when I did go in they were glad they said it could have got alot worse.
Asking for help or info on Yahoo Answers is okay but to get a definite answer before its too late see the doctor..

Where is the bump on your chest? It could be a swollen lymph node. Why don't you go to a doctor and find out.
They have better ways of figuring this out then we do, you know x-rays, blood tests, feeling the lump.

you have nodes under your arm and your breast and also in the chest between the breast. Go to the doctors and get a mamagram also make sure it include the armpit lymph nodes
