Can someone give me a clear and accurate list of things I can do to ensure my pc is in best shape? I have AVG Free Edition, and windows defender, and ccleaner on pc which i use.

Well what you have to understand is that your computer was originally built for a certain benchmark, assuming the computer is from a vendor like IBM, HP, Dell, Gateway, Apple, or Lenovo.
Typically computers are sold with a minimum amount of RAM to keep the cost down. Nowadays more RAM is being added. But you first want ot make sure you have at least 1GB of RAM. You can check this through the "My Computer" properties page.
Next you'll want to turn off Services that you don't need. The Services applet can be found in the Control Panel
Defrag your hard disk every now and then
Open the case and vacuum the dust every now and then
Keep an up-to-date Antivirus program and Anti-spyware program
Other than that there's not much more

Well, just keep up the "Disk Cleanup" "Defrag" and make sure you dont load too much junk on it. Most of all, DO NOT install a bunch of optimizer programs, most of them use more resources than they actually clean up.
