How has Christianity, a faith based on the teaching of one text (The Bible), divided into so many denominations?

The bible wasn't the end of Christianity. The church has grown in tradition and has exploded into text after text and rule after rule... and we as humans are simply unable to agree on enough.

Because it's an ambigious text, and most people can't read it in it's original language.

Most of what Christianity is, as practiced, is not found in that text.

many false christ and false shepards have come to be tickling the ears of their followers read about the large dragnet that collected many fish.
