I remember when I first became a christian something was also "talking" to me when I prayed. And this "voice" would say cuss words. I thought, how can God let me in heaven when i even cuss while praying. I prayed about this. Was talking to a christian and out of the blue she said when she became a christian she experienced this. I had not said a word about it!! She said it was Satan and he didn't want me to pray. I prayed for God to not let this happen and it hasn't happened since. There is SO much evidence to show that Jesus was here on this earth, that he had a following and that our world was made by design. Pray, sincerely, to ask God to show you these things. He many times does through other Christians. Are you a reader? Get a book and why you should believe the God of the bible. I know he is real, I've seen him, heard him, he has answered MANY prayers and even woke me up one night ...long story. I have a science degree so not all Christan's are stupid like Hollywood likes to portray them.

i came from a christian family and had the little voice your talking about,i decided to listen to it and go against my religious upbringings although now i can say that since leaving the church my life has improved greatly and i have somehow found more meaning because im not so brainwashed anymore and it has made me more inquisitive about the general aspects of life and why people believe what they belive!and i am now more open minded to accept other opinions.well in my opinion its not such a bad thing that you are questioning who god is and whether he exists or not it just shows your opening your mind and questioning the faith you have been brought up in.If everyone opened their mind and accepted different beliefs then there wouldent be any terrorism or racism in the world and it would be a lot more peaceful place.i dont actually think ive answered the question youve asked but its the only answer i can think of giving.

Sorry this is such a long answer, but please read....

God says in Jeremiah 29:11-14 :
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And you shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations......."
(Sorry about the King James Version...It is what I prefer. You might try other versions if you like)
Notice that there is an order of events here. Starting with God and His intent toward us. He already knows you and His plan for you. You are right about one thing...He is good and He will not force anything on you or harm you. He is waiting for you to step out in faith and reach for Him. He said if you do this, and believe in your heart, you WILL find Him. God doesn't play games and He doesn't lie. The truth is there waiting for you. I truly believe the little voice you hear of doubt is a lie, otherwise your heart wouldn't still be tugging at you, because it knows the truth.
What harm would it do to read the Bible and pray and honestly and truly seek after God, then, if you still doubt, you will be in a better position to make a choice. I would not make such an eternal choice on a little voice of doubt without digging a little deeper first.
Try going to a differant church if you have to, find someone you trust to confide in.
Someone I always turn to in this crazy world of "OPINIONATED PEOPLE" is Billy Graham. He has a great website and really deals with todays questions and issues.
He is someone who has not wavered over time and has such a wonderful message.
Just don't give up, and keep seeking.
God Bless you!

Sweetie, it's believe...not beleive...remember this rule, i before e EXCEPT after c and you wont have any problem spelling a word that has ie in it...
now to your belief situation...the little voice you hear is the opposite of God....You will find as you live life, you have to believe in someone/something as well as yourself or life is a mere existence with no purpose...God is REAL and the only reason you are here...slow down, let Him show you all the wonderful aspects of life and I will guarantee you, HE will believe in you and always be there for you!!!! Think of this...there is not another person on earth like you...you would have had to come from God and that's what makes you extra special!!! Keep Smilin! :)

In my experience, the images and teachings from many religions about god are not real -- they're the ones that people made up that satisfy our ego/human thought system. The real God is there, nothing like the images we get from our religions. There's no judgement, no hell, no sin, no guilt, no punishment -- just a continually shining light of love that is always accessible. Why don't we experience it? Because deep down we don't want to -- because we think our separate will is going to be affected by getting in touch with this. But people have experienced The Unmeasurable (God) and the experience is overwhelming Joy. I've had glimpses (after being an atheist -- and I still consider myself an 'atheist' only because I know the negative images of God are not real). However, when people like Jesus come along and tell people of this overwhelming Love and Joy, the message isn't well understood. And people think it threatens their ego and, so, the message is radically changed and becomes a belief system. And the real god -- and the fact that Jesus and others are telling us that we can all have the same experience -- is lost. But there are people who have had direct experiences of God - and they come from all religions and no religion. In christianity, we have St. John of the Cross and Meister Eckhart. In Islam (Sufism), we have Rumi. In buddhism we have the historical buddha and dogen. Many many people.... For a zen perspective, '3 pillars of zen' is a great read (but i only recommend it if zen appeals to you -- the religions need to be tools we use and not belief systems we take as Truth so ... if you find christianity to be more to your liking, look at st john of the cross and meister eckhart).

I would recommend searching your soul for what you do feel is right. It could be that you're simply not agreeing with what your church teaches and you need to find another one that better fits your needs. It could be, though, that you're in need of another way of worshipping. Read the Bible and a few other religous books, such as commaintaries. Take a few courses on religion. Not just Christianity, open up to Judaism and Islam as well. Personal faith is just that- personal. Decide that you truly believe and you will be a happier person for it. Don't be afraid to wreastle with this. Judaism holds that faith is not blindly following God, but wrestling every day with your faith and truly believing it.

Good luck on your search.

Its easy for me to believe in God. Mainly becase what he has done in my life. I had a infection in my body and he healed me. I had it until I was 18 and one day my pastor prayed for me and it was gone. Another thing is that I go to a powerful church. The people are all so into God and when the music is on.... Praising, dancing, Shouting, worshipping, and pwerful moves of God take place. Truly we have to have faith. Faith that he is real and that when we pray hes right there in the mist.

To know im is to know him through his word. Though I can comply that reading his word is not easy. Second is to pray to him. Yes he already knows everything. But he saued in his word, "If you ask anything in the name of Jesus it will be done." Keep in mind what you ask must be his will and in his time.

God also said to search for him with ALL of your heart. Put him first in your life and you will find him and that longing of the void in your heart will be filled! Its not easy but it isnt too hard either!

Trust that he is real and have faith. Pray hard every day.... maybe fast one day if you can.... and read his word. You will find what you look for if you really really want to. But too many times people give up or dont try and assume hes not real. They expect to pray oneeeee time and to hear this big deep audible voice that says I AM HERE. But its actually a small inaudible voice and when he speaks you will know it is him.

Give me a holla if you ever want some prayers or more advice. God said, " my plans are of good not of evil." Believe me he knows best for your life and what will make you most happy!!!

Oh yea and I hate how everyone thinks you must not have fun and that christians are boring. We can go out, dance and party!
Jesus did turn water into wine! LoL

Hope this helps...

God is the end result of a failed search for truth by a very shallow mind, provided that any search was made at all instead of swallowing the pile of delusional bilge that was spoon fed to you as a child. It is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. No wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon. If you have some doubt, run with it, don't get conned back in.

It sounds like you are at a critical stage in your life where the enemy of your soul, Satan the deceiver is seeking to keep you from Christ.

1 Peter 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares about you. 8 Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour. 9 Resist him, being steadfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, the One having called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, may He Himself make you complete--He will establish, strengthen, and firmly ground you. 11 To Him be the glory and the power, forever and ever. Amen.

I don't mean to insult you but every person who has yet to come to Christ is still under the power of the Devil. Until I was born again Jesus could have been speaking to me along with the other people He is addressing in this passage.

John 8:42 Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would have loved Me, for I came forth and have come from God; nor have I come from Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? Because you are unable to hear My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

Here is a link to God's truth that you might want to prayerfully consider.

hi Frou - wish all is going nicely. it truly is the deal in my international: The Bible is a e book inspired with the aid of God, even if it is synthetic. what's quite major is the way it will be used as a device for gaining understand-how of. In my church we do not interpret it actually - we use metaphysical interpretations and follow them to existence at present. seem at thoughts like the Prodigal Son. we are able to study a lot about forgiveness without situations from that. The e book is finished of them. what's a challenge and intensely unhappy is at the same time as human beings attempt to interpret the Bible actually and then use it as a weapon adversarial to others. To me, that is the most UN-Christian element someone can do. I very nearly forgot - the Bible isn't the purely e book i take advantage of to attain more desirable understanding. If all people's in contact i'd advise examining the following: A direction in Miracles The Tao of Physics the nature of deepest reality
