In my opinion Vegas is the winner with no competition. The drivers pass on the right even when there are no other cars on the freeway and they love doing that zig-zag thing as if they are a ball in a pinball machine.

Reynor, I was not in the left hand land and avoid the right so I won't interfer with traffic entering the freeway.

I've driven in the US, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, Italy. And been driven in Japan, Taiwan, Seoul, Shanghai and Singapore.

Taipei, Taiwan takes the cake - driving there is the most interesting experience you can ever have in a car. Between the clouds of blue smoke from all the motorcycles and scooters, to the trucks and cars trying to manuever 6 or 7 lanes of traffic into 3 lanes of space, Taipei has the worst dirvers. Striped traffic lines are merely guidelines - if you hesitate, you will be run over by the other drivers. Traffic signals are merely indicators when to start racing.

Driving in Los Angeles or Boston seems downright courteous when compared to Taipei.

The best drivers are in Germany (except on the autobahn - the traffic density is getting too high for unlimited speeds) and in Tokyo. Drivers are highly-trained and take the responsibility of driving very seriously.

As an over the road truck driver, I've driven in nearly every city and state in the country and without a doubt the worst drivers in the country can all be found within the greater Los Angelos Ca. area.

As far as other drivers passing you on the right, I have to ask why you are not in the right hand lane if other drivers are passing you by. Slower traffic should always move to the right, thereby freeing up the travel lanes and preventing congestion. It sounds like you need to review your own driving habits because you may not be a very courteous driver.

Every City in the Bay Area, California. Also in Los Angeles County, California. I drive a lot and observe them how they drive as I drive. They change lane abruptly. They never use signal lights when they change lane. They always cut-off in front of you. More people drive without any drivers license. Most of the cars have expired registration. They don't know how to drive on the freeway if the road is wet. This is real. This is California, the largest registered cars in the USA.

If you drive 40 miles a day for 5 days, you will noticed that.

You guys have nothing on Las Vegas. At least most of the people in your cities are from that city. Vegas hasn't been around that long and everyone moved here from different states with different driving types. This makes for some hellish circumstances on the roads. Take that and add thousands of tourists! Manhattan? Don't make me laugh!

You are dead wrong. Compared to Europe in general, and Germany specifically. The whole USA drives like crap! Every idiot behind the wheel in the USA is a crap driver! Myself included. If any of you have ever been to Germany, check out how they do it. It was one of the most beautiful things to watch. Germans drive with discipline. They also have to study for their drivers licenses for their entire time they are in High-School. Not the 12 month crap we pass off as drivers education here. Most people in the US wouldn't last ten minutes driving in Germany before they killed themselves or worse someone else. But hey, who am I to tell you morons how you drive. I'm just an American citizen who saw it done better than anything we see here.

Not my town; we are the largest city in the US to go 3 years without a car/bicycle fatality. Colorado Springs has bad traffic, but the drivers are OK.

Must say the drivers in Iowa are very nice too.
I also thought the drivers in Seattle were very good in the rain.

BAD drivers? I thought Phoenix was pretty bad.

A recent study on 20 top cities showed Miami, FL had the most rude drivers.
Other cities in FL have slooooow drivers ( snowbirds) but they have rude, disrespectful drivers all year long. I've never seen so many in my 30+ years of driving.

The Manhattan, New York has the worst drivers. Everyone is always blowing each other and they have serious road rag. Especially the cabbies. Cab drivers are off the hook.

I'm in central CA and we get some of those LA drivers up here too, nobody anywhere has patience for someone hogging the road in the fast lane, I always say, keep up or move over :(

Florida. Not for the NY drivers so much as the Haitians, tourists,Cubans, people driving telephone booths, putting on makeup at 70mph, reading the paper. I could go on. But I left the state.
