lcd cannot create true black colors
lcd costs more per square inch
lcd has a refresh rate of 8miliseconds ( because its liquid )
lcd cannot get burn in
lcd is rated for 40,000-60,000 hours ( name brand t.v.s)
lcd is cheaper for 1080p resolution than plasma
lcd t.v.s are 15"-46"

plasma has more eye popping colors
plasma can get a burn in if the image does not move for 4 hours
plasma has a refresh rate of 4-6 miliseconds
plasma is also rated at 40,000 - 60,000 hours
plasma can crack at high altitueds ( except pioneer )
plasma is 37"-70"

always make sure you get the hd turner built in

My sister has a LCD TV. LCD will last longer than a Plasma screen and w/o the high maintenance.

Well in a plasma the colors tend to be deeer and richer, but an LCD helps cut down on screen glare.

Most LCD are Small and most Plasma are big. Your choice.

Every five years the gas has to be replenished in the plasma TV. It is high maintenance and expensive.
